Blockchain Specialization
The origin of the blockchain specialization began at August 2016, when Chair Professor of Computer Science & Information Engineering, Zon-Yin Shae attended Asia University (AU) in Taichung City. Surrounded by entrepreneurs and other major members, Shae noticed something. “Blockchain had huge issues with uncertainty about development of the financial industry and there would be an opportunity for us to educate professionals at the university who could fill the need for people to work as managers and business strategists in these firms.” So Shae partnered with AU finance professors to create a fintech-based course focusing on the applications surrounding Blockchain. It will offer in the fall of 2016. Within significant student interest, fintech group took it a step further to create a curriculum specialization and novel application.
